Cleveland Cavaliers: Reviewing the infamous 2014 Kevin Love trade
Kevin Love and all his victories, or lack thereof, in Cleveland
The Cavs received Kevin Love.
Kevin Love, while much maligned, has been as good as advertised. While often the subject of trade rumors, Love consistently played a high level and was a classy part of the organization.
In his four years with Cleveland, he has averaged 17.1 points and 10 rebounds per game, while shooting the ball over 43% from the field including nearly 38% from deep.

The Cavs added Love for his ability to stretch the floor and to be the competent third piece in their historic championship puzzle. Ultimately, he complimented LeBron James and Kyrie Irving on the court and contributed to the 2016 championship.
His floor spreading ability proved key in multiple playoff series. However, at the same time, his lateral quickness was sometimes used to Cleveland’s disadvantage, often times being switched onto a quick, more versatile guard.
It should be noted that while he did suffer a concussion in the 2016 NBA Finals and missed one game, Love showed up when it mattered, even if not in the fashion many would’ve thought. In Game 7, it was Love’s 14 rebounds and his giant stop against Steph Curry with minutes remaining that made a huge difference.
Kevin Love has done everything he’s been asked.
He was constantly the subject of trade rumors, yet he handled them with class and continued to produce on the court.
Love has been nothing short of a class act for the Cavs. But, did Minnesota make it out with the same positive thoughts on the trade?
