Kevin Love exceeds expectations

With the way this coming season is looking, any player on the Cavs roster could have a breakout season and put up career-high numbers considering there is the opportunity for anyone to shine.

The best option to do so is Love.

At 29-years-old and already a five-time All-Star, Love has already proven that he can produce in this league. This time, Love will play as the main focal point of a team.

With the experience under his belt and is at the peak of his career what better time to put up career-highs on the statistical side of his game.

Could it be that Love exceeds expectations so much that he is the hottest target on the trade market?

With the way the league is set up,  there is one clear number one team the Golden State Warriors and they cemented that fact with the offseason addition of All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins. There are several teams that could be or are close if they have one more All-Star.

More from Cavs Analysis

Imagine Boston if they picked up Kevin Love in a trade for Jaylen Brown and Terry Rozier. They would be a deeper team than the Warriors though they might not be better.

They might take a chance at a trade if they know that the team of Boston could change so much considering players are going to want to be paid and may want to leave.

There are other teams, like Philly, who could want Love as well. If they picked up Love, they would have an interesting dual-threat in the post with the combination of Joel Embid and Love.

They might have to give up Markelle Fultz and Dario Saric (or more) for Love.

Another possible trade would be Love to the Toronto Raptors, a team many consider having the best bench in the league. They would have an interesting Big Three of Kyle Lowry, Kawhi Leonard and Love.

In return, they would have to give up some of their stellar bench for a third All-Star.
