No. 2: Rodney Hood

Rodney Hood is an interesting player because he has shown flashes of greatness and at different times seems to be completely disinterested in the game.

That can partially be attributed to a lack of maturity on his part; however, with the playmaking now on him, it’ll be quite the opportunity for him to earn back the team’s trust.

With the Jazz, he put up great numbers and looked to be the perfect third option.

He even had a game against the Lakers where he scored 30 points in one half.

Yes, you read that right.

More from King James Gospel

He also has proven to be a great three-point shooter. One game Hood found his rhythm, ending the game with eight triples.

During his time with Utah, he averaged 16.8 points per game on 42.4 percent shooting from the field. However, in Cleveland, he averaged exactly 6.0 fewer points per game and was hardly inserted into the offense.

The question is can his game translate to the Cavs post-LeBron and can he work well with his teammates. To be good with the Cavs, yes, he needs to score, but he also needs to rebound and help create looks for his teammates.

That’ll be what the team will miss most from James’ departure.

If Hood can take his game to the next level and keep it there consistently, he could become an All-Star before his career is over.

Reminder: he’s just 25-years-old.
