1. Kyle Korver

Kyle Korver, who has made the fourth-most threes (2,213) of all-time, is the Cav with the most trade value. Not only is Korver a high-efficiency (9.2 points per game on 43.6 percent shooting from three last season), low-maintenance player, he’s on a relatively cheap contract that will pay him $15 million over the next two seasons (only $3.4 million of his contract is guaranteed next season).

Though he has missed games in recent seasons with a sore foot, the biggest deterrents with Korver from a trade standpoint are his age (37-years-old) and lack of lateral agility.

According to Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Philadelphia 76ers have discussed trading for Korver.

It’s unclear whether the deal gets done but outside of rookie Collin Sexton and second-year pro Cedi Osman, Korver is the only Cav who a team has been rumored to have legitimate interest in trading for this offseason.

The Cleveland Cavaliers really have little reason to trade Korver. He’s a great locker room leader whose professionalism was often complimented by LeBron James in media pressers.

He’s also an effective de facto shooting coach who has helped LeBron, Kevin Love and seemingly Cedi Osman with their shooting mechanics.

Furthermore, though he started for a time in the postseason, he’s a second-unit player — and a productive one at that — who won’t be taking playing time from the Cavs’ young wings.

That is, unless the Cavs can’t trade J.R. Smith.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem they can; the writing may already be on the wall.
