Here’s what we learned from the Cleveland Cavaliers’ victory over the Toronto Raptors in the Summer League se
On Sunday, the Summer Cleveland Cavaliers kept the time-honored tradition of eliminating the Toronto Raptors from the playoffs alive with an 82-68 win in the Summer League tournament quarterfinals.
The Cavs survived and advanced in the single-elimination tournament thanks to another solid showing from Collin Sexton.
Sexton continues to impress as he finished with 18 points and six assists in the win. His efficiency wasn’t there throughout as he went just 6-of-14 from the field but he did a fantastic job of attacking the basket and getting to the free-throw line repeatedly.
While Sexton’s playmaking was invaluable, Cavs two-way player John Holland saved the day for the Cavs. He finished with a team high 23 points on eight of 12 shooting.
After advancing, the Cavs will take on the Los Angeles Lakers in the semifinals on Monday night at 8:30 PM.
Former Cavalier LeBron James spent Sunday afternoon watching his new team, the Lakers, play. We could be in for quite the spectacle if LeBron decides to show up for Monday’s game.
