The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Toronto Raptors by a score of 82-68 in the Las Vegas Summer League quarterfinals.
After defeating the Toronto Raptors in the quarterfinals, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be advancing to the semifinal round of the Summer League tournament and will play the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Cavs were led by guards Collin Sexton and John Holland as the Cavs once again bounced a Raptors team out of the playoffs.
Holland played one of his best games in Summer League play, as he finished with 23 points and two rebounds. Holland was also on fire from three, as he shot 4/7 from three-point range.
Sexton who was another top performer, he finished with 18 points, six assists and three rebounds.
To some people’s surprise, Sexton has been dominant in the Summer League, having another stellar performance.
Scoochie Smith and Billy Preston continue to impress in Summer League play. Smith finished with 10 points, four rebounds, two assists, two blocks and one steal. Preston also finished with 10 points while adding nine rebounds and one block.
Jamel Artis also had another impressive game, as he finished with eight points, eight rebounds, two blocks and one assist.
Okaro White had a great game, especially on the boards, as he finished with 10 rebounds, two points, one assist and one block.
Overall, the Cavs shot 40.9 percent from the field and 29.2 percent from three.
This team has been impressive this summer league game even without arguably their best player. It’s unlikely that Cedi Osman plays tomorrow night, but with the Cavs taking on LeBron James new team the Lakers, you never know.
