The Cleveland Cavaliers are starting life without LeBron James defeating the Washington Wizards 72-59.

It was Cedi Osman who had an impact early on for the Cleveland Cavaliers. Early in the first couple of minutes in the first quarter, Osman had a steal and three-pointer, and the Cavs never looked back since.

As far as Osman, he finished with 15 points, 10 rebounds, four steals, three assists and one block.

We saw flashes of his potential during spurts last season, but this is a huge summer league and season for Osman to show the Cavs what he can do and show that he is part of the future of the Cavaliers.

Tonight, he is starting to prove that.

As far as the No. 8 pick in the draft, Collin Sexton impressed as well.

One of his biggest strengths is his defense, and it showed against the Wizards. He also has great passing ability. He also has great rebounding ability for a guard. His jumper still needs improvement, as he only shot 33.3 percent from the field, but that was one of his weaknesses heading into summer league and this season.

Overall, Sexton finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and one steal.

Ante Zizic is the last man still on the team from the blockbuster Kyrie Irving team. Zizic also showed his potential last night. He has greatly improved from where he was during the early months of the regular season last year. Going down to the Canton Charge to play in games has done wonders for him and his improvement and potential.

Zizic finished with 16 points, 14 rebounds, five assists and one steal.

Under the radar performances: Billy Preston, who finished with nine points, four rebounds and two steals. Marcus Less finished with eight points, five rebounds, four blocks and three steals. Okaro White, who was a late addition to the Cavs last season finished with nine rebounds, five points and one block.

The Cavaliers shot 35.6 percent from the field and 27.8 percent from three.
