Cleveland Cavaliers: Proposing three trades involving sharpshooter Kyle Korver
Re-joining the King in LA
LeBron James had seemingly always respected and, more importantly, played well alongside Korver.
Over in LA, the Lakers have been trying to add gritty, hard-nosed players on their roster. Those players include Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, and JaVale McGee. However, eventually, the Lakers might have to play to James and even Lonzo Ball’s strength. That strength is found in lining the floor with shooters.
As we’ve seen, Kyle Korver is an excellent option for a team in need of shooting.
At a +11.4, the duo of James and Korver had the team’s best two-man net rating of any duo that saw over 300 minutes of court time throughout the entire regular season. While that might not be shocking, it seems Magic and the LA management are in the process of doing the exact opposite.
Throughout his career, James excelling with shooting is almost as inevitable as paying your taxes. Both will happen, but the former of the two seems to be a foreign idea to Magic. That said, when the tough times come, they might be calling to Korver for help.
He’d be an excellent addition to a team that looks to improve through free agency. Additionally, two second-round picks seem like nothing for such a great addition.
