Cleveland Cavaliers: Proposing three trades involving sharpshooter Kyle Korver
Give Ben Simmons a reliable outside option
The Philadelphia 76ers, just like the Oklahoma City Thunder, are working on a process to take over the NBA.
As of now, that process involves Ben Simmons, a pass-first, aggressive, non-shooting point guard. Simmons shot 0-for-11 from deep during the entire 2017-2018 season.
While the 76ers did retain shooting with the re-signing of JJ Reddick, allowing Korver to come in and play the three with Simmons, Reddick, Embiid, and Saric would create one unstoppable lineup for Philly.
Philadelphia, who had six picks prior to the draft this season, is loaded with picks for future drafts. And, without their second unit sniper, Marco Belinelli, coming back, they’ll need the extra court spacing.
Philly failed to crack the top-10 in three-pointers made last season. In a modern-day NBA that stresses three-point shooting, trading a few of their numerous future second round picks for a helpful sniper could be a smart play by their front office.
