Creating weapons for Russ, George

Oklahoma City is clearly planning to go all in the next few seasons. They were able to re-sign Paul George for a multi-year deal and have ultimately seen solid success this offseason, keeping their core superstar duo together.

Every superstar duo or trio needs some sharpshooting. Albeit Thompson was there first, Durant and Curry have Klay. The old school Miami Heat who had LeBron James and Dwyane Wade saw Ray Allen make arguably their biggest shot in franchise history.

Now, it’s time for OKC to get themselves a terrific sharpshooting threat in Kyle Korver, and if the Cavs plan to blow their team up and issue a full rebuild, Korver should be on his way out regardless.

With 10.7 per game last season, OKC ranked No. 15 in three-pointers made. However, efficiency is arguably more important than volume, and at 35.4%, OKC struggled shooting from deep efficiently, ranking No. 24 in the NBA.

While Ferguson and a future second is a high price for a 37-year-old sniper, the Thunder must go all in to even come close to competing with Golden State. Also, think about subbing in Korver for Roberson, what a change in dynamic that would be!
