5. Kyle Anderson (Restricted)

In his 4th season, Anderson put up career numbers for one of the perennial greats in the western conference. Kyle Anderson started 67 games in place of the injured Kawhi Leonard last season and averaged 7.9 points per game, 5.4 assists per game, 2.7 assists per game, and 1.6 steals per game while shooting 56% from the field.

Now you might look at these numbers and think of them mediocre at best, but what Anderson provides most is found most in advanced statistics. Anderson has the second highest box plus/minus on the team behind Leonard. He also has the second highest win shares behind only LaMarcus Aldridge. Those are not accidental stats or stats to be taken lightly.

The best quality about Anderson, however, might be that he is only 24 years-old and going into his fifth season. He is poised for a breakout year if given the opportunity. As the Cavaliers look to rebound off of losing LeBron, Anderson could give them their best fit at the small forward hole.

Kyle Anderson has been known to be able to play three or four positions on the court which could be much to the Cavaliers liking. He is a 6-foot-9 small forward with the quickness to play the two and guard the wing as well as the size and strength to play the four and bang with the big fellas down low.

In the NBA, being able to play multiple positions is a sought-after trait. Anderson could prove to be of a huge value to a young Cavalier team.
