What is Love worth?

For the entire decade that Love’s been in the league, he’s averaged double figures. On top of that, he’s average over 15 points per game for the last eight seasons including two with over 26 per game.

Love’s scoring is just one reason the Sixers should crave the forward. The main reason is his ability to space the court. The 76ers finished No. 12 in three-pointers made last season. While not awful, with Simmons leading the charge, the Sixers will need all the shooting they can get, and Love would certainly provide that.

Love finished last season averaging 2.3 threes per game. He shot a career-high 41.5% from downtown. His perimeter spacing on a team without a three-point shooting point guard would be ideal for the Sixers.

That said, Love’s certainly not going to worth Saric in the eyes of the Sixers. Saric played the power forward and averaged 2.0 threes per game in his sophomore season last year. However, if Saric is traded away for Leonard, then Love could come into play to give them another three-point shooting option.

Imagine a lineup of Simmons-Reddick-Leonard-Love-Embiid in the Eastern Conference. What’s the price though?

One first round pick? Maybe you wind up trading Fultz and Saric to San Antonio for Anderson and Leonard then deal Anderson. Who knows how the next couple days will transpire after the last few days.

Let’s just say Love won’t be cheap and he might be a much higher price than the Sixers will be willing to pay.
