No. 13: Thaddeus Young– Young has officially opted in

After years of being eliminated by LeBron James himself, you’d think Thaddeus Young would be ready to be on the winning side for once. Young possesses a unique skillset. He can shoot and defend well along with possessing great size.

Young would be an ideal center or power forward alongside Kevin Love and LeBron James.

The 11-year veteran averaged 11.8 points per game last season on a stacked Pacers squad. With 6.3 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.9 turnovers per game, Young put up a great stat line all season, proving he’s still capable of playing at a high level.

However, if Young is to join the Cavs, he’d have to decline a player option. Opting in would mean Young’s accepting his promised $13.7 million. It’d be hard for the Cavs to top that, and while Young’s on a playoff roster, he might be content.

On paper, Young would be an outstanding addition, but it’s looking doubtful as of now.
