No. 17: Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a poor man’s, Avery Bradley. He’s athletic, can defend, and can shoot from deep. As a playmaker though, he’s limited.

That said, the Cavaliers need consistent shooting and a few playmakers to truly make a run at the Warriors next season. Pope, or KCP as many call him, could slide in and finally give the Cavs what the production they’ve dreamed of getting from JR Smith these past two seasons.

Caldwell-Pope, who is just 25, averaged a career-high 2.1 threes per game last season to go along with his four straight season averaging double figures. KCP signed an outrageous $17.7 million contract with the Lakers, a figure he certainly won’t be seeing again.

KCP has the cash, and now he needs the ring. While he’d certainly have to take a significant paycut, Pope would be the perfect two-guard in Cleveland assuming James returns to lead the team’s playmaking.

Signing KCP for one year and around $5-$8 million would be ideal.
