Kemba Walker

While many of these players have never been linked to Cleveland, Kemba Walker’s name was floating around this past trade deadline as his patience with the Charlotte Hornets continues to wane.

Walker is in the same position as Lillard and McCollum. He’s a superstar stuck on an underwhelming team trying to tough it out without much help.

However, at least Lillard and McCollum have each other, Walker doesn’t have much help in Charlotte, one reason they failed to make the postseason even in a weaker Eastern Conference.

At 22.1 points per game, Walker has showcased a unique offensive skill set for a such a small player, standing just 6-foot-1. While not a defensive liability, Walker has proven to be one of the most sought-after targets, yet the Charlotte management continues to hold closely onto their superstar.

That said, trading for Walker would cost the Cavaliers much more than they’re willing to offer. While a developed offensive playmaker, Walker is certainly not worth the pick and Kevin Love.

If that’s the asking price, Cleveland won’t be knocking down the door. However, if it turns into just the pick, Cleveland should at least consider rescuing Walker from Charlotte.
