Trade #1

Cleveland Cavaliers receive: Kawhi Leonard

San Antonio Spurs receive: Kevin Love, 8th pick

Kawhi Leonard is a superstar caliber player that has barely stepped foot on the court this season, due to injury problems.

The versatile star has grown to be frustrated with his situation and has even started questioning his future with the San Antonio Spurs, with many reports suggesting that he demanded to be traded away in the upcoming offseason.

Enter the Cleveland Cavaliers. With this trade, the team from Texas acquires a star in Kevin Love and a top 10 pick in the upcoming NBA Draft. Kevin Love is a very talented player that was held back in recent years due to the existence of LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

He is still, though, a double-double machine that can spread the floor and cause countless problems for the opposing defense.

San Antonio might be the perfect place for Kevin to revive his career thanks to 2 key reasons. The first one is LaMarcus Aldridge, a player that he shares many similarities with, like post-offense and floor spacing.

The second reason has to be Gregg Popovich, a true coaching genius that has “produced” many superstars in the league over the past couple of decades.
