Trade #4:

Cavaliers receive: Kawhi Leonard

Spurs receive: Kevin Love, 2018 First Round Draft Pick (8th pick)

Kawhi Leonard reportedly wants out of San Antonio, so, let’s get him out.

If the reports are true, the Spurs will be looking for an ideal package to trade Leonard. The Cleveland Cavaliers may have the perfect pieces to offer. It’s clear the Spurs don’t want to blow up the entire team and go into a rebuild. That’s why Kevin Love would be perfect. He will allow them to remain relevant in the West as a competitive team.

Now, add in the eighth pick in the draft. This draft is filled with talented Centers, something the Spurs love to have. A young center could pair well with point guard Dejounte Murray. Murray is already a promising prospect who the Spurs have already been developing.

Furthermore, if the Spurs had Kevin Love they could then go on to flip LaMarcus Aldrige for another young prospect if they really wanted to take their franchise to the next generation.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers would love to have a player like Kawhi Leonard. Offense and defense mixed all in one player. The Cavs would have some of their biggest problems fixed instantly. A front court of Leonard and LeBron James would be a nightmare for opposing teams.
