Trade #1:

Cavaliers receive: CJ McCollum, Al Farouq Aminu

Trail Blazers receive: Kevin Love, JR Smith

This trade would bring home Canton born star, CJ McCollum. Last season, McCollum averaged 21.4 points per game and was one of the best offensive shooting guards in the league.

Adding in a player with the offensive capabilities of McCollum would be huge for Cleveland. McCollum is a guy who can create his own shot and make plays for others. This is something the Cavaliers haven’t had since Kyrie Irving.

As for Al Farouq Aminu, he would bring some value to the Cavaliers too. Aminu has shown to be a tough player who will scrap for rebounds and do the dirty work.

Similar to Tristan Thompson. Aminu would provide a much needed defensive presence as well. With his athletic ability to switch on pick and rolls, Aminu garnered a few votes for the NBA’s All-Defensive team this season.

This trade would satisfy Cleveland’s needs in every way. The Cavs would gain an elite playmaker while also buffing up their defense. If the Cavaliers can pull this one off, it may be perfect.
