Rodions Kurucs will be one of several international players to make his way to the NBA in the 2018 NBA Draft.

Basketball Insiders most recent mock draft has Kurucs right here, as the No. 26 pick to the 76ers. However, S/I’s most recent mock doesn’t have Kurucs drafted till exactly halfway through the second round.

In my opinion, the 76ers will snag Kurucs at 26 for two main reasons.

For starters, they are one of a just a few teams that have seen success with international players. Dario Saric played a large role on their team and run to the Eastern Conference semifinals. His success should impact their mindset towards international prospects.

Secondly, the fit is there. They could use a versatile scoring wing to help alleviate pressure off Embiid and Simmons. Kurucs is an impressive 6-foot-9, and with the proper training, he could certainly end up as the next Dario Saric.
