PITTSBURGH, PA – MARCH 15: Collin Sexton /

Collin Sexton. 11. player. 170. . Point Guard. University of Alabama

Collin Sexton has the grit and the tenacity to come in and make an immediate impact in the NBA. At 6-foot-3, he’s the optimal height for a point guard.

Even though the Charlotte Hornets currently have Kemba Walker, Walker is going to become a free agent following the 2018-2019 season. Does that scare Charlotte at all? Teams like Cleveland might be lining up at Charlotte’s door for him this offseason or prior to the 2019 trade deadline.

Sexton averaged 19.2 points per game at the University of Alabama. With around 3.5 rebounds and assists per game,

Sexton could the heir to Charlotte’s thrown and help usher in a new era of Charlotte basketball. Along with Malik Monk, Sexton should be ready to take the reigns if Walker is dealt.

The Hornets need a reset, and this is their chance to replace arguably the most important position with a capable and ready prospect.
