2018 NBA Mock Draft 2.0: Cleveland Cavaliers select Wendell Carter Jr.
The 2018 NBA Draft is under a month away. That said, let’s take another look at an updated mock draft.
The order is set. The Dallas Mavericks were the losers of the 2018 NBA Draft Lottery, falling out fo the top three. The Suns won the lottery, and our beloved Cleveland Cavaliers took home the 8th pick, failing to secure a top three pick.
Even with the order set, the variability of this draft is still at an all-time high, especially with reports that the coveted potential No. 1 pick Luka Doncic might stay in Real Madrid instead of entering the draft. If that happens, the entire draft will be impacted.
The top eight will be much more interesting if Doncic stays.
Will Trae Young find his way into the top five as the draft’s second-best point guard?
Also without Doncic, Ayton is the clear No. 1, or was he the clear No. 1 all along? With elite talent at the top of the draft, this draft is incredibly deep with the Collegiate Player of the Year, Jalen Bruson, as our last pick in the first round.
Skilled guards like Aaron Holiday and Khyri Thomas also fall out of the lottery. That said, let’s get into how we project the first of the 2018 NBA Draft to play out.
