#3. Game three versus the Toronto Raptors (2018)

Clutchness: 7/10

Difficulty: 11/10

Overall performance: 8/10

Average score: 9/10

This shot is by far the most difficult game winner LeBron James has made in the NBA playoffs. James began the play on the opposite baseline with only eight seconds to score. James flew down the court, smartly avoiding a double-team.

With about two seconds left, James could have settled for a pull-up jumper, but James had different plans in mind. James continued his drive to the hoop. Then, James threw up a right-handed floater (on the left side of the hoop) while jumping off the wrong leg and banked the shot in off the glass for the win.

This shot capped off a 38-point night for James. In addition to scoring, James posted 6 rebounds, 7 assists, and 3 steals. However, there is one thing holding this shot back from being higher on the list. That would be the fact that there really wasn’t much pressure on James to hit this shot. Worst case scenario, James misses the shot and the Cavaliers would go into overtime.

Even if the team lost in overtime, they still would hold a 2-1 lead in the series. So while this shot was certainly impressive, it wasn’t nearly as clutch as any of his other shots.
