#4. Game four versus the Chicago Bulls (2015)

Clutchness: 10/10

Difficulty: 10/10

Overall performance: 6/10

Average Score: 8.6/10

It was the first season in which LeBron James had returned home to the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team was in a difficult situation. After Derrick Rose nailed the game-winning three-pointer in Game 3, the Cavs were down 2-1 in the series. The Cavaliers were clearly struggling to find an answer for the Chicago Bulls and doubt was quickly seeping in.

Game 4 was a neck and neck battle from start to finish. Although the Cavaliers garnered a seven-point lead late in the fourth, the Bulls quickly stormed back to tie the game. Now, with 1.5 seconds remaining, the Cavaliers were desperate for a win. LeBron James received the inbound pass in the corner and shot a contested fadeaway over Jimmy Butler to win the game.

According to multiple reports, LeBron James wasn’t even supposed to be shooting the final shot. Head coach David Blatt had originally planned for James to inbound the ball.

However, James refused to let a teammate take the winning shot and instead took matters into his own hands. This backstory is the reason that this shot is ranked at fourth despite being tied in score with the previous shot.
