Yes, LeBron James hit two game-winning shots in his first career playoff series.
Furthermore, James averaged 35.7 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5.7 assists in this series. Despite his young age, James was as great as he’s ever been. This game specifically, James was on fire. James scored 45 points, grabbed 7 rebounds, dished 6 assists and shot 60% from the floor.
Still, even with James putting up monster numbers, the series was in jeopardy. In Game 5, the Cavaliers were trailing by one point with 3.2 seconds left in overtime. In a series that was tied a two apiece, this play would prove to be pivotal in the outcome of the matchup.
James caught the ball and immediately charged down the baseline. James sliced through the defenders and floated the ball in to give the Cavaliers the win. This shot put the Cavs up 3-2 int he series and eventually lead to the team advancing to the second round.
