It’s no secret that LeBron James is the best basketball player in the universe. His sorcery is sending the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Eastern Conference Finals, and the top-seed Toronto Raptors back to the Land Before Time.
LeBron James is having one of the most unbelievable postseasons in NBA history (to nobody’s surprise, really). He (and really only Kyle Korver for stretches) basically took out the upstart Indiana Pacers by his lonesome in a grueling seven-game first round series. Did you really think he’d let his Cleveland Cavaliers get outed in the first round?
As if that wasn’t enough, 23 has made his stamp on this Eastern Conference Semifinals series as well through the first two games on the road in a monstrous way.
Even though James had his shooting struggles (12-30 from the field) in a hard-fought Game 1, the King did enough in the other areas on the stat sheet to get a W and put all the pressure on the Raps in Game 2. He did at least have a triple-double, adding 13 assists and 11 rebounds.
James was far from satisfied with that result due to his shooting inefficiency and missed opportunities down the stretch, though, per Sam Amico of Amico Hoops.
Nonetheless, James still got his teammates involved in the process, as Cleveland clawed their way to a Game 1 narrow victory in overtime, and Korver and the perimeter threats nailed 14 three-pointers. Game 2 was much of the same from the Cavalier snipers.
