After a massive Game 5 victory, it’s clear that sniper Kyle Korver and superstar LeBron James are the Cleveland Cavaliers new 1-2 punch.
The worst-kept secret in the NBA playoffs: LeBron James needs his teammates to step up on the offensive end. After another strong performance in Game 5, Kyle Korver is emerging as the Cleveland Cavaliers No. 2 scoring option.
LeBron has been nothing short of spectacular this series. Literally putting the team (and the city) on his back every single night.
As for his teammates, Cleveland’s No. 2 offense option all during the regular season was Kevin Love. However, Indiana has made it a point to take Love out of the game, which has worked well.
The other offensive threat for the Cavaliers could have been J.R. Smith. While Smith has had two double-figure scoring games this series, inconsistency still plagues J.R. at the worst possible times.
Brought here last year to be a role player and a positive locker room presence, Kyle Korver is now the jelly to LeBron’s peanut butter on the court.
Kyle Korver and Jose Calderon are 36 years old and the Cavs would be absolutely lost without them.

Yes, at first glance it seems strange to think the Korver, the 15-year veteran, is Cleveland’s No. 2 offensive option.
