Cleveland Cavaliers: Lessons from a pivotal Game 5 victory
You can’t count LeBron’s team out.
This Cavs’ team hasn’t played well this series.
Their all-star center has been non-existent offensively. Their starting point guard has missed most of the series with a back injury. And their second best player has been a 37-year-old role player.
But, that all doesn’t matter because LeBron still plays in Cleveland.
Indiana has been the better team all series, but LeBron continues to be the best player on the planet. He’s now averaging 34.8 points on 55.0% shooting, 11.4 rebounds, and 8.0 assists per game. Unfortunately, for the Pacers, they have no way of countering that.
The Cavs have serious flaws and the Eastern Conference is probably the best it’s been in four years. But still, you can’t count out Playoff LeBron.
James reminded us Wednesday night that he’s still the reigning King of the East. And that’s not a crown he’s going to hand over easily.
