The Cleveland Cavaliers surrendered a 17 point lead to the Indiana Pacers in a 92-90 loss.

The Indiana Pacers have taken a 2-1 lead in the series. The Cleveland Cavaliers have a lot of work to do to get back into this series.

This was a tale of two halves. The Cavs came out of the gate on fire. The defense was stifling to start the game while George Hill and Kevin Love came out aggressive on the offensive end. Hill finished the half with 11 while Love came out with 16.

The second half was the exact opposite. Hill missed most of the second half because of back tightness and Love registered only two shots. The offense was stagnant and the defense wasn’t good enough to prevent a 17 point collapse.

LeBron James finished with 28 points on 10 of 22 shooting with 12 rebounds, eight rebounds, and six turnovers.

The Cavs did a great job of containing Victor Oladipo holding him to 18 points on five of 15 shooting. The same can’t be said about Bojan Bogdanovic who put up 30 points.

The Cavs are facing real adversity in the first round for the first time since 2008. We’ll see how they respond to all of this Sunday night in Game 4. Until then, here’s what we learned from the loss.
