Lesson No. 2: LeBron can outscore a team by himself for a quarter.

LeBron outscored the Pacers 20-18 in the first quarter proving once again that he’s impossible to stop when he’s in the zone.

James came out on fire after Coach Lue called him out for not being aggressive in Game 1. Whether or not Lue’s challenge was the reason for his aggressiveness is something only LeBron knows, despite what he said post-game. However, the results speak for themselves. The Cavs were able to jump out to an early lead because of LeBron’s aggressiveness and never looked back.

Previous Cavalier teams were built to lighten LeBron’s workload. Conversely, this team is built to accentuate LeBron’s skills meaning that this team can only reach it’s full potential if James is being aggressive.

We saw this perfectly in Game 2. The Cavs looked unstoppable for stretches because of how this team’s personnel, maybe even more than previous teams, compliments LeBron’s skill-set. Meaning that every single player who is on the court is there because how they fit alongside LeBron.

There are downsides to running a LeBron-centric system. We saw during Game 1 how an off game from James can tank the whole team. But, Game 2 showed us just how dangerous this Cavalier team can be when James is on the top of his game.
