LeBron James continues to slide fans hints about his upcoming free agency. This time, he told media it was about family and winning.

Ultimately, LeBron James is still yet to decide where he will play next season, but his latest hint suggested he might be back in Cleveland. James told Cleveland.com that winning and family will decide his destination.

Here’s one of the most important excerpts from their article on James’ pending free agency:

"“My family. That’s all that matters,” James told cleveland.com. “I want to continue to win at the highest level, because I know I can still do it as an individual, and then my family. My family is what’s most important to me, more than anything.”"

Three teams have shown love to James via billboards. Those teams include the Lakers, the 76ers, and the Knicks. In my opinion, if James decides to leave Cleveland, Philadelphia is the only realistic option.

However, another important factor backing Cleveland is that both James and his wife were born in Northeast Ohio and have raised there kids in the area. Needless to say, Cleveland can cross family off the list of why James should stay in Cleveland.

The second question is: Can Cleveland give James his second wish? Can the Cavaliers build a roster that can continue to win at the highest level? James, who is averaging his most impressive stats in his 15 seasons, is doing things unheard of at his age, and it’s only right for him to want to keep winning wherever he is.

The one thing that bodes well for Cleveland is that they proved they will do anything to give LeBron a surrounding cast that he can win with. They made four trades the day of the trade deadline, bringing in youth along with a capable point guard and center.

However, with the draft happening before free agency, there could still be a couple huge momentum swingers in the race for LeBron. For starters, the Cavs will be getting a top ten pick in this draft. How they handle the draft, who they draft, and if they make any more deals will at least slightly influence James.

That’s why, moving forward, if James is to stay in Cleveland and continue his impressive second tenure, he’ll need a say in what happens this offseason. The Cavs have nine players guaranteed to be back on the team, and what they do with the last six spots along with the Brooklyn Nets’ pick will be another huge determinate.

However, Cleveland has proved that they’ll commit to winning in the now. All they need to do is prove it again this offseason. That said, if a superstar opens up, get him. James wants to win, and that should be at the forefront of the management’s mind too.

And, if family and winning are what he wants, then Cleveland is one of the only destinations that can give him both. James belongs in Cleveland, and it’d be difficult seeing him anywhere else.
