Cleveland Cavaliers: Lessons from another discouraging loss in Philly
Lesson No. 3: Jeff Green can be a good three-point shooter for stretches.
No, Green isn’t a three-point specialist. But, you can see how great of a player he can be when he is hitting his three-point shot.
Since being named a starter he is shooting seven of nine from distance. Green credited his improved shooting to working with Kyle Korver.
Despite the last two games, the overwhelming evidence is that Green isn’t a good three-point shooter. He is shooting just 31.7% from distance on the season.
The Cavs don’t need Green to be a three-point shooter. That’s not his strong suit. All you can ask is that he takes the right shots within the flow of the offense. Green needs to play to his strengths, and it’s certainly not volume three-point shooting.
