Cleveland Cavaliers: Lessons from another discouraging loss in Philly
The Cleveland Cavaliers ended up on the wrong side of an exciting 132-130 loss to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Cleveland Cavaliers came out with no energy in the second game of a back-to-back.
As a result, the Cavs spotted Philadelphia 30 points. LeBron James led a furious comeback, but he fell a few free-throws short of completing what would’ve been one of the best comebacks of the year, or in the Cavs’ case this week.
LeBron was sensational once again. He put up his second 40 point triple-double of the season finishing with 44 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists. He is now the only player in NBA history to have recorded two 40 point triple-doubles in the same season. He also became the youngest player in NBA history to record 31,000 career points.
Jeff Green had an unbelievable game as well putting up 33 points on five of six shooting from distance.
Ben Simmons was impressive for Philadelphia. You can see the unbelievable talent he possesses and why he has the potential to be a superstar in this game. Simmons propelled his team to victory with 27 points, 15 rebounds, and 13 assists.
Here’s what we learned from the loss.
