Fan favorite Larry Nance. Jr may have found a niche alongside Kevin Love, which gives the Cleveland Cavaliers one of their best tandems. When the playoffs roll around, it may be paramount in the team’s ambitions.

With little over a week left in the NBA regular season, the Cleveland Cavaliers are looking sharp. In their latest set of games, AKA The Larry Drew Experience, the team is 8-1. During this span, the Cavaliers vanquished the Toronto Raptors, the best team record-wise in the Eastern Conference.

Apart from Drew’s stellar coaching, the team also can thank the Cleveland Clinic for its hot streak. With the doctors from America’s No. 2 hospital’s assistance, the team is almost at full health. The biggest return by far is superstar Kevin Love’s return from his broken hand. Fan favorite Larry Nance Jr. also has returned from a nagging hamstring injury and has looked great.

Besides Love and Nance, Tristan Thompson has returned to the fold after dealing with a litany of injuries. With Love, Nance, and Thompson all available, it provides options on who exactly should start.

Obviously, Love should start for the Cavaliers as he is having his best season with the team by far. After that, there are both pros and cons to starting either Thompson or Nance alongside Love.

But with a handful of games to go, Nance may have made a serious case to be the team’s starting power forward. The best hard evidence that proves this is stats, as numbers never lie. The Action Network’s Matt Moore, AKA Hardwood Paroxysm, shared the following on a Love-Nance tandem:

Those numbers are clearly outstanding and provide a real argument for the team to continue starting Nance alongside Love.
