125. . Small Forward. FC Barcelona. Rodions Kurucs. 30. player

With the 30th pick in the 2018 NBA Draft, the Hawks select Rodions Kurucs.

This will be the Atlanta Hawks third pick in the first round. Following the initial 20 picks, the International prospects such as Rodions Kurucs tend to get more consideration than older, more experienced collegiate players. That said, Latvian Rodions Kurucs will slide up a few spots.

For starters, the Atlanta Hawks will need his 6-foot-8 size on the wing to compliment Kent Bazemore and a young Hawks team.

Kurucs plays for FC Barcelona in Spain and averaged 9.3 points per game in 16 appearances for them in the 2017-2018 season. He also showed that he has the ability to step out and knock down a three.

Kurucs plays like Mario Herzonja, who, after a few seasons in the NBA, is finally starting to come into the dynamic scorer he was meant to be. Kurucs is a risk, but as your third pick in the draft, these international prospects are worth the risk.
