The shorthanded Cleveland Cavaliers were able to take care of business against the tanking Chicago Bulls with a 114-109 win.
The Cleveland Cavaliers finish their longest road trip of the season with a 3-3 record. That’s not too bad considering all the injuries they’re dealing with.
The Cavs took a depleted roster into Chicago Saturday night. Cleveland played this one with only nine active players including one two-way contract player from Canton. As a result, Jose Calderon, Jeff Green, and Ante Zizic were forced into the starting lineup.
Given the circumstances, @cavs assistant coach Larry Drew, who took over after Tyronn Lue left the game with an illness, considers this a very successful road trip. #AllForOne pic.twitter.com/9BkTbcoG9g

LeBron James was the reason Cleveland was able to pull out the victory. He notched another triple-double finishing with 33 points, 12 assists, 12 boards, two blocks, and a steal.
This was an all-around weird game that felt more like a preseason game given the personnel of both teams. Both teams played without multiple starters. Despite the odd circumstances, this was one the Cavs couldn’t afford to lose.
Here’s what we learned from the win.
