Cleveland Cavaliers: Lessons from yet another loss against Denver
JR Smith is the most entertaining player in the league.
It has been an insane 48 hours for Smith. He was suspended for Thursday’s contest against the Sixers for throwing a bowl of soup at assistant coach Damon Jones. Twitter erupted when they heard the news. It only seemed appropriate that JR followed up this stunt with one of the most JR type games we’ve ever seen.
First, he started the day off by trying to downplay the whole incident by answering questions after shoot-around Saturday morning with an Arthur “mood” hat.
He then followed that up by bowling the ball to the ref with the most insane amount of side-spin possible. That kind of spin is something I’m sure he’d like to incorporate into his golf game. The best part of this whole sequence is how JR acts like it’s really no big deal.

This video is made better when you pretend he’s throwing a bowl of soup and not the ball.
However, Smith was having the most uneventful day possible on the court as he finished the first half with no points and no shots.
That changed in the third quarter when he came out hotter than a freshly made bowl of wedding soup. He brought the Cavs back into the game by putting up nine points on four of five shooting in the third quarter. He started the fourth just as hot by starting out three for three from the field with 10 points before missing his final four shots.
After being non-existent for the first half, Smith almost single-handedly brought them back into the game with his incredible scoring ability and solid play on the defensive end.
Smith is a bit of a rollercoaster on and off the floor. But there’s one thing that’s certain. He’s by far the most entertaining player in the league.
