It wasn’t pretty, but the new look Cleveland Cavaliers were finally able to grab their first win at home since the deadline with a 129-123 win over the Brooklyn Nets.

This game was a mixed bag. There were positive and negative things to take away from the win.  The Cleveland Cavaliers were a mess on the defensive end of the floor as the Nets posted a 116.9 offensive rating and finished with an effective field goal percentage of 61.0%.

However, there were many positives to take away from this game. Each of the four new players contributed big in crunch time. Jordan Clarkson made a big three at the end of the fourth and Rodney Hood sealed the game with an and-one jumper from the right corner. The offense also showed how dangerous they can be as they posted an offensive rating of 121.8 and shot 12 of 24 (50.0%) from distance.

LeBron James stole the show once again as he posted his 12th triple-double of the season finishing with 31 points, 11 assists, and 12 boards. For the first time in his career, LeBron will average a triple-double for an entire month. He finished the month averaging 27.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 10.5 rebounds per game.

Besides that, James also became the only player in NBA history to record 30k points, 10k assists, and 10k rebounds. It wasn’t a bad night for the King.

Here’s what we learned from the win.
