While trying to resurrect his career, Derrick Rose chose to sign with Cleveland in order to compete for a championship. However, Rose again found himself on the sideline rehabbing injuries more than actually playing.

At the beginning of the season, Derrick Rose was playing pretty solid basketball. Even showing flashes of his MVP self at times. That changed quickly as yet more injuries struck Rose. The former MVP experienced lingering ankle problems throughout the early stages of this season. So much so that Rose even distanced himself from the team in order to re-evaluate his future.

Upon return, Coach Lue had to figure out how he could best use Rose with this team. Rose’s minutes continued to decrease as the season moved on, and the team ultimately decided that they didn’t need him anymore.

In addition, Rose averaged career-lows in points (9.8), assists (1.6), and rebounds (1.8) with the Cavs, playing just 16 games.

Once Rose was traded to Utah, the Jazz released him, thus making him a free agent. Multiple teams have expressed interest in signing D-Rose, including the Minnesota Timberwolves and the Washington Wizards.

We wish Rose a healthy rest of his career and hopes he finds success with whichever team lands him. D-Rose, thank you.
