Cedi Osman isn’t going to be in the dunk contest anytime soon.

Larry Nance Jr. will be representing the Cavs in the dunk contest next week. He showed why by effortless slamming this one home.

Cedi, on the other hand, will not be participating in the dunk contest anytime soon. He got a steal at the end of the first half and had a breakaway dunk. Unfortunately, he tried to throw it down too hard and clanked it off the back of the rim.

While Osman missed the dunk, he still played an all-around solid game in his second chance in the starting lineup. He finished the game with 12 points on four of eight shooting with five boards and a steal.

JR Smith and Tristan Thompson are playing with energy again.

Smith and Thompson aren’t new additions, but they’re bringing something to the team that they haven’t brought in quite some time. Energy.

Both players showed how productive they can still be and why they were the perfect compliments to LeBron on a championship team.

JR had an impressive game finishing with 15 points on three of four shooting from deep and six boards. He also turned back the clock and threw down a vicious dunk over Aron Baynes.

Thompson brought the energy all afternoon as he finished with six points and a block.

The biggest acquisition the Cavs could have possibly made is getting Smith and Thompson to play up to their ability. One of the Cavs’ biggest problems this season has been the lack of production out of both players. It’s no accident that the most dominant performance of the season coincided with great games from both Smith and Thompson.
