KJG Ep. 8 Part 2: What moves will Cleveland make before the trade deadline?

Under a week is left until the NBA trade deadline, and the Cleveland Cavaliers have done nothing.

That’s the topic for the second part of our podcast this week. King James Gossip’s episode 8 part 2 goes into a deep dive into who the Cleveland Cavaliers should trade for.

There are several targets available for the Cavaliers. There have been rumors pinning them to the likes of DeAndre Jordan, George Hill, Lou Williams, Kent Bazemore, and a few other players.

The Cavs, as a whole, are looking for a long-term answer in order to trade the coveted Brooklyn Nets’ first-round pick. So, who could be that answer? In the podcast, we go into what we think will happen with the pick, what will realistically happen, and what we wish would happen.

As for us, we didn’t just discuss the targets that are at hand, we discussed who we should give up. The Cavs have assets. They have Cedi Osman and Ante Zizic, two young, intriguing, pieces. On top of that, they have Kevin Love to deal, if they are looking to make a splash before the trade deadline.

However, the ultimate goal will obviously be retaining the ability to compete for an NBA Championship. If the Cavaliers can’t do that this season, then the rumors about Lebron James leaving will create even more tension in the Land, if that’s even possible.

Ultimately, the Cleveland Cavaliers now have five days left before they need to, or at least are assumed to, make some type of deal. Whether that be for DeAndre Jordan or some lower-profile defender, the Cavaliers’ front office needs to show their players, mainly LeBron James, that they are willing to expend their assets to win a title.
