Toxicity in Cavs locker room overblown
The chaos and toxicity surrounding the Cleveland Cavaliers has been overblown.
Most people, or perhaps everybody is guilty of it.
Armchair psychology is almost an innate part of what it is to be human, as we’re social creatures conditioned to observe and analyze behavior. Last week, a number of stories from the Cleveland Cavaliers beat caused fans and media to speculate on behavior and psyche of the Cavs as of late.
The result? It’s an avalanche of chaos and doom of a team that’s swept up the Cavs and has them sliding down the Eastern Conference standings and NBA power rankings.
A lot of these stories were tantalizing and the effects wide-ranging. However, while there is undoubtedly at least a nugget of truth and a lesson to be gleaned from them, the drama surrounding the Cavs has been overblown.
That’s not to say the team doesn’t have issues because it’s clear that they do. Nonetheless, the toxicity that’s said to exist in the locker room, doesn’t.
