KJG Ep. 6: Trade season is in full effect for the Cleveland Cavaliers

The Cleveland Cavaliers are about to begin trade season. And, we got to talk about it in King James Gossip’s episode six.

The season of trade is finally upon us, or we hope so at least. For the next three weeks, the Cleveland Cavaliers will be involved in an array of trade rumors, but what should they take?

The official trade deadline is February 8 this season. The Cavaliers have before that deadline to improve their team enough to truly compete with the Golden State Warriors, if that’s even possible.

After being slaughter by 24 points in their last outing, it’s obvious change is on the way. Whether it be personnel or coaching, a move will be made, and it should be made within the next couple days.

Over the last several days, three big-name players have been rumored to have been targeted by the Cleveland Cavaliers. DeAndre Jordan, which we knew was a target for Cleveland, Lou Williams, and George Hill all were reportedly being targeted by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

In this episode, co-expert Nathan Beighle and contributors Jared and Kyle Hesketh break down what trades the Cavs should actually consider, what trades will 100% not happen, and what the value of the Brooklyn pick is and if any of these players are truly worth it.

Although each player would immensely help the team in a variety of ways, all three of us agree that one criminally underrated player that isn’t currently on the Cavs radar should be their top priority.

There is even a possibility of the Cavs conducting several individual trades. We discuss the likelihood of that and the likelihood of the Cavs attempting to target a more high-profile player like DeMarcus Cousins.

When it comes to trade possibilities, the combinations are endless. That said, with so much going on, we added an extra episode this week. Normally, we drop an episode every Thursday, so be on the lookout for that.
