The Cleveland Cavaliers have officially arrived at the halfway stage of their NBA regular season campaign.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at where the Cleveland Cavaliers stand in comparison to last season after logging 42 regular season games.

Team Record

The Cavaliers are currently sitting with a 26-15 record, good for third place in the Eastern Conference. They’ve already endured a couple of shaky spells but have been bolstered by a stretch of 19 games where they had just one loss.

In the last ten games, however, the Cavaliers are just 3-7 giving some cause for concern to fans. Especially after the back-to-back blowouts against Minnesota and Toronto. Despite this, they have come up against some of the best teams in the league away from home in this time, whilst trying to merge people back into the team after injury.

Looking back to last season, the Cavaliers were atop the Eastern Conference with a 30-11 record. They were also 6-4 in their last 10 games heading into the second half of the regular season.

Comparing these records gives a basic overview of where the Cavs stand now in comparison to last season. However, it doesn’t account for the huge number of differences and changes in the makeup of the team, injuries, the style of play and much more.
