The Cleveland Cavaliers have had a rollercoaster of a season, and with them reported being aggressive in trade talks, our episode centered around the who.
In our weekly episode of King James Gossip, we took a look at who the Cleveland Cavaliers will target this trade season.
As usual, we kicked the episode recapping last weeks matchups. The Cavs dropped two significant, marquee games, one to Minnesota and one to Boston, both away and both were lost by over 10 points. The Cavs have lost five of their last seven, and they’ve definitely been struggling lately. The only game they won this past week was against Orlando. Is it time for concern in the Land?
Following a breakdown of those three games, we dove into our two hot topics. They are as follows:
Kevin Love: his importance, if he’s enough, and what the Cavs have to do to help him defensively

Trade season: the targets, the realistic abilities, and who will end up actually helping the Cavs.
Up until February 8, the rumors of the trade season will be at an all-time high. They will be all over the news, and just like in the mainstream news, we had our own trade predictions. Some guys that might not even be thought of, we brought to mind.
Players like Evan Fournier, Wesley Matthews, Tyreke Evans, Bismack Biyombo, and many others were mentioned. The list continues, but the facts remain the same: some of the rumors swirling around will just not happen. Is DeAndre Jordan a realistic target in Cleveland?
To add to that, we also went over how Kevin Love and the new starting lineup are devastating defensively. However, is it Isaiah Thomas’ fault? Is it Kevin Love’s? Who is to blame for the Cleveland Cavaliers being the 29th rated defense? Is it actually Tyronn Lue’s fault?
We discussed how they’ve managed to become so bad and some potential solutions.
As usual, we ended our episode with a preview of the next few games. This upcoming week will be one of the more interesting ones. The Cavs have matchups with the Warriors, Raptors, and Pacers– the two top teams in the East and the NBA’s best team.
