In episode No. 3 of King James Gossip, we talk about the Cleveland Cavaliers recent losing streak, Isaiah Thomas’ impact, and a reject Kyrie Irving trade.

After losing three straight road games, the Cleveland Cavaliers finally beat Portland in Isaiah Thomas’ return. However, does that struggle mean anything? That’s one of our hot topics following a short chat about Jackie MacMullan’s article on Kyrie Irving, his trade, and much more.

MacMullan went behind the scenes and dove into the trade that stars Kyrie Irving and Isaiah Thomas were apart of this past offseason. She also drew attention to a rejected trade that the podcast covers in detail. What happened to it? Who would’ve said no? That and much more on how MacMullan’s brilliant piece drew much-deserved attention.

Those two along with Isaiah Thomas’ 17 point debut are the main hot topics. That said, here’s the breakdown of King James Gossip’s episode 3.

More from King James Gospel

  • We started by welcoming our three hosts, and then went directly into the three games the Cavaliers played the week before– one loss in Sacremento, one loss in Utah, and a 17 point win at home against Portland.
  • Then, we kicked it into gear with our hot topic surrounding the MacMullan article.
  • Following the article, we went into the seriousness of the Cavs struggles over their last three-game road trip.
  • Our last hot topic, as shown above, was the impact of Isaiah Thomas, who had 17 points in 19 minutes in his debut against the Trail Blazers.
  • Our game segment was next up where we discussed two “would you rather” questions. Tell us your answers to those two significant questions.
  • We ended it with our “21 Shump Street” picks of the week, and then wrapped it up by previewing the next week in the Land.

No guests came on the show this week, and it was arguably the smoothest of the three King James Gossip podcasts so far. We have a great time making these and are always looking for ways to improve, so if you have any advice, questions, or concerns shoot us a message on Facebook or Twitter or just comment below.
