By the end of the first month, the Cavaliers had a 5-7 record. The Cavs were not only losing games, they were getting embarrassed.

This slow start caused panic to begin rising throughout the city. It seemed as if the loss of Kyrie Irving was having a deeper impact on the team than anyone could have thought. As the Cavs lost more and more games, Irving and the Boston Celtics were in the midst of a 16 game win streak. The future was not looking bright in Cleveland.
However, the Cavaliers finally hit their stride in November. After a 20 point fourth-quarter comeback against the New York Knicks, the Cavaliers officially kicked off their winning streak. Cleveland began knocking off every opponent they faced and the wins were stacking up. Before anyone knew it, the Cavaliers had won 13 straight games. The streak lasted nearly a month and tied the franchise record for most consecutive wins.
LeBron James was absolutely incredible during the win streak. James nailed big time shots every time his number was called and continuously put the team on his back. When the streak was finally broken, James finished the 13 game stretch by averaging 27.2 points, 8.9 rebounds, 8.2 assists. James also shot 47 percent from the three-point line during the win streak, which is the highest shooting 13 game stretch of his career.
This win streak from the Cavaliers was the perfect remedy for Cleveland’s chaos. This streak eased the minds of fans everywhere. The month of November was exactly what Cleveland needed to put an end to the panic. This streak proved to the rest of the NBA that the Cavs were still championship contenders.
