Following a Christmas Day loss, the Cleveland Cavaliers dropped their second straight away game to the Kings.
The Cleveland Cavaliers dropped their second game in a row and their third in four games with a 109-95 loss to the Sacramento Kings. Vince Carter stole the show and the game with 24 points on 10 of 12 shooting and 5 boards.
The Cavs just didn’t have it on Wednesday night. They trailed for most of the game and allowed the Kings to dictate the tempo the entire contest. It’s not surprising that the Cavs had a tough time getting up for a road game against a bad team after playing the Warriors on Christmas, but losing to the now 12 win Kings who were on their second leg of a back-to-back is inexcusable.
Kevin Love led the Cavs in scoring with 23 points on 7 of 12 shooting. JR Smith had a solid night as he finished with 15 points, all of which came from behind the arc. LeBron James finished with a triple-double, but he struggled to find his shot again finishing with just 16 points on 6 of 17 shooting.
The Cavs have now lost three straight road games. Here’s what we learned from the loss.
