The Cleveland Cavaliers and Golden State Warriors put on one of the most entertaining performances Christmas Day had to offer.

After an overall poor shooting performance, the Cleveland Cavaliers fell to the Golden State Warriors 99-92.

There were several good aspects of this game that can be taken away, such as Kevin Love’s 31 points and 18 rebounds. Being a player that normally struggles against Golden State, it’s encouraging to see him stepping up in a huge game in front of a raucous crowd. That said, there are quite of few things that should be concerning for the Cleveland Cavaliers also.

This game has been one of few true tests this NBA regular season has to offer for Cleveland. If this game is anything like the series that we are hopefully going to see in June, fans better buckle up because this will be some of the best basketball ever played. LeBron James is putting up career-highs, and both teams should have their superstar point guards back in action then. However, nothing in this league can be taken for granted.

As for the game itself, it was a much closer game then the seven-point margin that it ended in. The Warriors took a two-point lead into halftime and then just a four-point lead into the fourth quarter. The nailbiter certainly showed both teams what they need to work on in preparation for June.

While the Cavs will still need to regain their health and figure their chemistry out before June, here are three immediate takeaways from the Cavs-Warriors showdown.
