Cleveland Cavaliers: Ranking the team’s top 10 current players
No. 8: Jae Crowder
Team rank: 7th in ppg, 7th in rebounds per game, 9th in assists per game
Slash line: .386/ .313/ .895
Coming into this season, Jae Crowder was supposed to be a knock-down three-point shooter and a tenacious defender. One of those is still true. Although Crowder hasn’t shot well this season, he still comes in at No. 8 on our rankings.
Crowder has played in every game this season for the Cavaliers and has started 26 of them. He’s averaging just 8.7 points per game last season, down from 13.9 last season in Boston. Crowder has shot just 31.3% from downtown this season which is down from just under 40% last season.
Overall, Crowder’s impact on spacing the floor is valuable for the starting unit. Crowder should’ve been a top 5 player for the Cavaliers but has had a rather disappointing season to this point.
