Both the Cleveland Cavaliers and LeBron James made the FanSided’s Fandom 250, which ranked the top 250 fan bases in the world of sports.

Fandom 250 was released yesterday. They ranked everything from musical artists to entertainment to all things sports. The Cleveland Cavaliers came in No. 73 on the list while LeBron James ranked much higher at No. 11.

LeBron James was the highest ranked overall basketball fan base, including both players and teams. The next highest NBA player was Stephen Curry, who came in ranked No. 92. As for NBA teams, the Golden State Warriors and Los Angeles Lakers were the first two NBA teams, coming in at 16 and 18 respectively. As for the Cavs, they still managed to be above every NBA player, excluding their star LeBron James.

Here’s an excerpt of what was said about LeBron and his followers.

More from King James Gospel

"We were all told to “Be Like Mike,” while knowing deep down that it was never really possible. We may never be able to pass or dunk like LeBron, but picking ourselves up and trying again when the universe itself appears stacked against us, doing everything in our power to make the people around us better, that is an attainable goal."

Both LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers have seen the best of times. But, there haven’t always been great times in Cleveland. Cleveland has had to survive some bad times, some disappointing moments. The Cavaliers haven’t always been the most thrilling team to watch. Their fan base, however, has always been behind them.

Here’s another excerpt of what FanSided said about the Cleveland Cavaliers and their respective fan base.

"It’s a reality Cleveland fans know all too well and it’s something that steers their dedication to the team. They’ve been down this road before. They’ve lost games before. The next Cavaliers championship might be only months away. Or it could be decades more. Being a fan is about waiting and Cavaliers fans are as good at that as anyone."

The Cavaliers have had one of the top attendances this year, averaging 20,562. That currently ranks No. 3 in the NBA behind both the 76ers and the Bulls. As for LeBron, he ranks No. 2 in merchandise sales in the NBA, according to a Forbes report that was put out in January of 2017.

These ranks were pleasantly on the side of one of the NBA’s greatest players and his respective city. That said, hopefully, this continues into the 2018 rankings.
